Urias Communications Receives Numerous Awards

copperquill-300x184Arizona-based Urias Communications recently won numerous marketing awards, including four “2009 Copper Quill Awards” presented annually by the Phoenix Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Urias Communications also developed the strategy and creative that garnered Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona the Best of Show for the national Blue Cross Blue Shield “Best of Blues” awards for its innovative marketing practices. This uniquely designed campaign by Urias Communications used both traditional and social marketing practices to attract bilingual, Hispanic, 18-35 year olds. Blue Cross Blue Shield reports the campaign has been a great success, garnering the firm more than 3,000 new members in one year.

An impressive panel of seasoned marketers from multi-billion dollar brands judged the campaign a perfect score, winning in both its category and Best of Show in all of the entries.

 The 2009 Copper Quill Awards presented to Urias Communications included:

 · Award of Excellence for Electronic Communication for Social Media for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona.

 · Award of Excellence for Design/Illustration on the Special Publication Design for the Phoenix Zoo

 ·  Award of Merit in Marketing Communications for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona

 · Award of Merit in Design Illustration for United Cerebral Palsy of Arizona’s Annual Report
